Evolution of topology structure and resilience measurement of China's wooden furniture export trade network

Abstract
In recent years,the global economic volatility,geopolitical conflicts and the trend of anti-globalization have had a great impact on the wooden furniture trade network.Analyzing the evolution of the pattern and resilience of China's wooden furniture export trade network under external shocks is of great significance for revealing the changing rules of China's international trade in wooden furniture,promoting the export of wooden furniture and the development of the industry.Using a complex network analysis approach,this paper constructed China's wooden furniture export network,analyzed the evolution of its topology structure,and developed a comprehensive resilience indicator system from both static and dynamic perspectives to measure and analyze its evolution trend.The study found that:(1)The topology structure of China's wooden furniture export trade network was essentially the result of resource endowment,deepening globalization,deepening regional cooperation and geopolitical games.(2)In recent years,impacted by intensified global competition,upgraded trade disputes and geopolitical factors,the nodal resilience of China's wooden furniture export trade network had shown a declining trend,the heterogeneity of structural resilience had been strengthened,the node connections were differentiated,the local clustering degree had increased somewhat,but there was a noticeable decline in overall connectivity.(3)China's wooden furniture export trade network faced greater challenges from targeted disturbances compared with random disruptions.However,with the synergistic effect of regional integration such as the Belt and Road Initiative and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership(RCEP),the com-prehensive resilience value against targeted disturbances in 2023 had increased 3.6%compared with 2015,indicating that the resilience of China's wooden furniture export trade network to geopolitical conflicts and economic sanctions had been enhanced.This study provided a systematic,structural and dynamic panoramaic perspective for studying China's wooden furniture export trade through complex network method,and proposed policy recommendations such as deepening regional economic collaboration mechanism,building a diversified trade system,optimizing global supply chain layout,and improving the trade risk response system.关键词
