Effects of feed supplementation with Galla chinensis on growth performance,antioxidant capacity,non-specific immunity and resistance to Aeromonas hydrophila in Chinese mitten crab(Eriocheir sinensis)

Abstract
The effects of dietary supplementation with different levels of Galla chinensis(GC)on the growth per-formance,antioxidant capacity,non-specific immunity and resistance to Aeromonas hydrophila of Eriocheir sinensis with initial body weight(10.61±0.97)g were investigated.Five different supplementation level of GC in the diets was 0%,0.50%,1.00%,1.50%,and 2.00%which was marked as W0(control),W1,W2,W3,W4,sepa-rately.The experimental period lasted 4 weeks.At the end of the experiment,the growth performance,serum bio-chemical indexes,non-specific immune indexes and hepatopancreatic antioxidant capacity of crab were analyzed,and the challenge test with A.hydrophila was carried out.The results showed that diet supplementation with different proportions of GC had no significant effect on the weight gain rate(WGR)and hepatic pancreas index(HSI)of crab(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the serum TP content of experimental groups compared with the control,while aspartate aminotransferase(GOT)content in the serum of W1 and W2 groups was significantly higher than that in the control(P<0.05).The malondialdehyde(MDA)content in the hepato-pancreatic was not affected by the supplementation of GC.The catalase(CAT)content in W1 was the highest and significantly higher than that in W2,W3 and W4 groups(P<0.05).The total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC)in W3 was significantly higher than that in the other treatments.The content of superoxide dismutase(SOD)in con-trol was the highest and significantly higher than that in W4 group(P<0.05).Certain amount of GC supplemented to the feed increased the AKP content in the hepatopancreas.The AKP content in W2 and W3 was significantly higher than the control(P<0.05).The acidic phosphatase(ACP)content in the hepatopancreas in W4 group was the highest and significantly higher than that in W1,W2 and W3 groups(P<0.05).After crab were infected with 7×108 CFU/mL A.hydrophila,the overall survival rate of W3 after challenge was 13.33%higher compared with the control.In conclusion,the supplementation of GC in diets can't significantly affect the growth performance of crab,but could significantly increase the antioxidant capacity,immunity and resistance to A.hydrophila of Chi-nese mitten crab.The recommended optimum supplementation level of GC in diets was 1.50%.关键词
