Abstract

At present,the engineering measurement method for intercity railways is mainly manual calculation through CAD drawings combined with Excel tables.This approach not only has low work efficiency but also easily results in quantity deviation,making it difficult to meet the requirements for refined management of project costs.To address issues such as low level of informatization and poor coordination in the engineering quantity measurement of intercity railway projects,this study took the underground station structure of an intercity railway as an example to investigate the structural relationship between design data and engineering quantity data carried by the BIM model.Based on engineering quantity calculation requirements and rules of bill of quantities and quotas,the information content that the BIM model should possess in the measurement process was sorted out.By establishing model coding based on work breakdown structure(WBS),the coding system was applied to form a mapping relationship between the BIM model and the hierarchy of bill of quantities.Meanwhile,model attributes were organically combined with the characteristic descriptions of engineering quantity items,thereby providing accurate data support for engineering quantity measurement.Using XML files as a bridge for data exchange,the data barrier between the model and engineering quantities was eliminated,and a quantity calculation system based on the Revit platform was developed using C#and VB programming languages.Through the application of BIM model-based quantity calculation for an intercity railway station in Shenzhen,the bill of quantities,including bill codes,bill items,engineering quantities,and corresponding item descriptions,was automatically exported.This verifies the feasibility of the BIM model-based bill of quantities export model,promotes the efficient flow of information from the design stage to the engineering quantity measurement stage,and provides a solution for achieving BIM-based engineering quantity measurement in intercity railway projects.
