Study on Functional Groups and Humic Acid Content of Lignite Based on Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy

Abstract
[Purposes]It is of great significance to explore the correlation between lignite proper-ties and humic acid content,and to predict humic acid content.[Methods]In this paper,three kinds of lignite sample from Ningxia,Inner Mongolia,and Xinjiang were selected.The proximate analysis,mineral composition analysis,ultimate analysis,and functional group analysis of the samples were car-ried out by means of float-and-sink experiment,X-ray diffractometry,elemental analysis,Fourier transform infrared spectrometry,and other experimental methods and test instruments.The functional groups were quantitatively analyzed by peak fitting technique,and the internal relationship between lignite characteristics and humic acid content was explored.The multivariate linear regression equation was established by SPSS software to predict the content of humic acid.[Results]The results show that the content of humic acid in lignite with low ash content,low density level,and high O/C atomic ratio is relatively high.The hydrogen bonds between hydroxyl and ether oxygen can promote the ag-gregation of organic molecules to form larger molecular polymers during the formation of humic acid.Carbonyl C=O and carboxyl C=O are highly reactive functional groups,and a series of cross-linking reactions produced by them help form a macromolecular network to construct the complex chemical structure of humic acid.The content of humic acid in lignite rich in hydroxyl-ether oxygen hy-drogen bond,carbonyl C=O,and carboxyl C=O is high.The prediction of humic acid content in coal samples shows that the minimum error between experimental values and predicted values can reach 0.28%,indicating that the established prediction model has advantages of high goodness of fit and high prediction accuracy,which provides a novel method and idea for the rapid determination of humic acid content in lignite.关键词
