摘要
Abstract
Objective To study the effect of polishing the anterior and posterior capsule membranes through physical methods in cat-aract phacoemulsification surgery to reduce the occurrence of posterior capsule occlusion(PCO).Methods A study was conducted on 92 age-related cataract patients(104 eyes)aged between 60~75 years, with a grading of lens opacity ranging from grade Ⅱ to Ⅳ.When per-forming corneal edge steep axis 2.4 mm micro incision phacoemulsification,an ophthalmic ring shaped polisher was used to perform 360° polishing around the anterior capsule, and a flushing spherical frosted polisher was used to polish the posterior capsule. The intraoperative and postoperative visual acuity or best corrected visual acuity,as well as changes in posterior capsule were observated.Meanwhile,96 pa-tients(106 eyes)who underwent corneal steep axis 2.4 mm micro incision cataract phacoemulsification surgery during the same period were selected as the control group for comparison. Results The incidence of posterior capsule turbidity at 1 month,3 months,6 months,1 year, and 2 years after surgery was 0.96%(1/104),0.96%(1/104),1.92%(2/104),2.88%(3/104),and 5.77%(6/104),respectively.The difference was significant compared with cases that did not undergo capsule polishing during the same period(P<0.05).Conclusion Pa-tients who underwent anterior and posterior capsule polishing during cataract phacoemulsification surgery had a significantly lower incidence of postoperative complications compared to those who did not undergo capsule polishing.关键词
