Geological and Geochemical Characteristics of Felsic Veins in Haita Area,Miyi,Sichuan:Implications for Uranium Mineralization

Abstract
Uranium mineralization in Haita area,Miyi,Sichuan is primarily hosted within felsic veins proximal to the contact zone between Jinningian migmatitic granites and Proterozoic metamorphic rocks.Felsic veins in this region are diverse and widespread in occurrence,but the difference between uranium-mineralized and barren veins remain unstudied in mineral assemblages and major/trace element compositions.This integrated petrographic and geochemical analyses demonstrate that:Mineralized veins(U≥100×10-6)are dominated by feldspar(average content 79%)with subordinate quartz(average content 12%).Uranium-enriched veins(20×10-6≤U<100×10-6)contain comparable feldspar(average content 47%)and quartz(average content 41%).Common veins(U<20×10-6)exhibit quartz dominance(average content 50%)over feldspar(average content 44%).Mineralized veins are characterized by low silica(SiO2 mean 62.7%),elevated sodium(Na2O mean 5.83%)and alumina(Al2O3 mean 22.55%),with significant enrichment of U,Mo,Bi,Th,Be,and Pb.Critically,the diagnostic triad of feldspar predominance(>75%),quartz deficiency(<20%),and Na-Al enriched signatures provides robust exploration indicators for uranium-prospective felsic veins.关键词
