Abstract

To address the lack of systematic research on the influence of hydrogen fueling strategies on the fatigue life of hydrogen storage vessels,this study systematically analyzes the impact of two commonly used hydrogen fueling strategies,constant maximum internal pressure cycling load(Pmax)and constant pressure fluctuation range(∆P),on the fatigue life of spin formed seamless hydrogen storage vessels.Based on the analysis results,a hydrogen fueling strategy based on load ratio control is proposed to enable synchronous fatigue life consumption across different levels of hydrogen storage vessels in a system.The results show that when the internal pressure cycling load conditions,material parameters,and diameter ratio are constant,the fatigue assessment results of hydrogen storage vessels are essentially consistent.Using the Pmax constant strategy maximizes the utilization of the vessel's load bearing potential,while the ∆P constant strategy effectively improves the vessel's fatigue life.However,neither of these two strategies can achieve synchronous fatigue life consumption across different vessel levels in a system.The load ratio control strategy enables a certain degree of synchronous fatigue life consumption during the operation of hydrogen storage vessels at different levels,thereby supporting hydrogen refueling stations in formulating maintenance and repair plans for hydrogen storage vessels based on the degree of fatigue life consumption.This study clarifies the influence patterns of different hydrogen fueling strategies on the fatigue life of hydrogen storage vessels and provides support for the stable operation and reduced maintenance costs of hydrogen refueling stations.
