Influence of knowledge,attitude,and social support interactive factors on the status of self-management behavior in stroke patients with hemiplegia

Abstract
Objective To analyze the influence of knowledge,attitude,and social support interactive factors on the current status of self-management behavior in post-stroke hemiplegic patients,and to provide a basis for formulating rehabilitation nursing interven-tions for this population.Methods A total of 116 post-stroke hemiplegic patients were enrolled as subjects.A cross-sectional survey and assessment were conducted using the Stroke Self-Management Behavior Scale(SMBS),Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),and Stroke Knowledge and Attitude Questionnaire(SKAQ).Univariate and multiple linear regression analyses were applied to ex-plore the effects of knowledge,attitude,and social support interactive factors on the status of self-management behavior in these pa-tients.Results The overall average score of self-management ability in post-stroke hemiplegic patients was 12.95±3.24,which was at a medium-to-low level.The dimensions,ranked from low to high,were:disease surveillance,emotional management,rehabilitation exercise management,adhere to medical advice and medication,dietary management,and daily life management.The self-management level was positively correlated with social support,stroke attitude,and stroke knowledge,with correlation coefficients of r=0.731,0.523,and 0.499,respectively(all P<0.01).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that stroke knowledge,place of residence,stroke attitude,family monthly per capita income,social support,and educational level were all influencing factors of self-management in middle-aged and elderly post-stroke hemiplegic patients,with R2=0.794(P<0.001).The standardized regression coefficients indicated the order of influence degree in ascending order(all P<0.05).Conclusion The self-management ability of post-stroke hemiplegic patients needs to be improved.In the future,intensive interventions should be implemented for patients with low educa-tional levels,poor stroke knowledge and attitude,and insufficient social support,so as to enhance their self-management ability.关键词
