Abstract

Aiming at the problems of low efficiency,high cost and difficulty in on-site implementation existing in traditional tea quality detection methods,a portable multispectral detection device and system for tea bud quality parameters was developed.The hardware of the device integrated a multispectral sensing unit with 9 characteristic wavelengths,a camera module and a global positioning system(GPS)module.By adopting a master-slave computer collaborative architecture,the in-situ synchronous collection and wireless transmission of multispectral reflectance,images,and geographical location information of tea buds were realized.The software system was based on a multi-task deep neural network,which estimated chlorophylls,polyphenols and free amino acids content of tea bud using the collected multi-band reflectance data and displayed the results in real time.The results showed that relative errors of multi-band reflectance of the device's multispectral module were within 4%and 8%under sunny and cloudy conditions,respectively;the average coefficient of determination(R²)of the multi-band reflectance cross-calibration model was 0.820,with an average root mean square error(RMSE)of 0.028.Based on the corrected reflectance data of tea buds,the constructed multi-task model achieved high estimation accuracy for chlorophyll and free amino acid in tea buds.The model's R² was 0.77,and the relative percentage deviation(RPD)was greater than 2.0.While the estimation accuracy for tea polyphenols was relatively low,and the model's R² was 0.51,the RMSE was 0.70%,the RPD was 1.42.The research results provided portable and intelligent technical support for rapid and non-destructive monitoring of tea bud quality in tea gardens on site,and had positive significance for promoting the precise management and digital upgrading of tea production.
