Expert Consensus on Metagenomic Next-Generation Sequencing Technology Specifications for Animal Pathogenic Microorganisms
摘要
Abstract
Metagenomic next-generation sequencing(mNGS)technology,as an emerging and universal microbial detection method capable of identifying all microorganisms,has played an increasingly important role in the clinical detection of animal pathogens.It has been widely applied in multi-pathogen detection,diagnosis of unknown pathogens,epidemiological investigation of infectious diseases,and pathogen tracing.However,in the veterinary diagnostic field,a unified and standardized understanding of mNGS has not yet been established.This paper presents expert consensus on the application of mNGS technology in animal pathogen detection,covering aspects such as laboratory construction and management,experimental procedures,bioinformatics analysis,result interpretation,quality control,and report review.Furthermore,it proposes standardized requirements and recommendations to promote consistency and reliability in veterinary pathogen diagnostics.关键词
