SMILE和FS-LASIK矫正高度近视术后角膜上皮厚度的比较
Comparative analysis of corneal epithelial thickness changes following SMILE and FS-LASIK for high myopia

Abstract
Objective To explore corneal epithelial thickness alterations after small incision lenticule extraction(SMILE)and femto-second laser-assisted laser in situ keratomileusis(FS-LASIK)aiming to correct high myopia.Methods We prospectively recruited high myopia patients who underwent SMILE or FS-LASIK in the Department of Refractive Surgery,Urumqi Aier Eye Hospital from January 2023 to September 2023 and assigned them to the SMILE(40 patients,40 eyes)and FS-LASIK(39 patients,39 eyes)groups,respec-tively.We tested the right eye in all analyses.All patients underwent examinations including visual acuity,intraocular pressure,optometry examinations,and we generated epithelial thickness distribution maps for 17 areas within 7 mm of the cornea,measured using an optical coherence tomography system of the anterior segment of the eye preoperatively and at 1 week as well as 1,3,and 6 months postoperatively.Results At 6 months postoperatively,the mean epithelial thickness in the range of 0 to 7 mm of the cornea increased both in the SMILE and FS-LASIK groups compared to the preoperative values(P<0.05).At 6 months postoperatively,we compared the change of epithelial thickness between the two groups,and observed that the epithelial thickening was more marked in the FS-LASIK group than in the SMILE group(P<0.05).Conclusion The corneal epithelial remodeling could be found after both SMILE and FS-LASIK,and epithelial thickening was more pronounced after FS-LASIK than SMILE.关键词
