Abstract
In the 21st century,science and technology are returning to explore the origin of life,making human health a central research theme.Traditional culture lays the foundation for the in-depth and extensive development of life studies.Traditional Chinese medicine,embodying the distinctive characteristics of Chinese civilization,is transforming through modern scientific and technological exchanges amid mutual learning among civilizations.The complementary nature of Confucianism and Taoism establishes the humanistic foundation of medicine,guiding humanity to objectively address complementary and interactive dualities.The prominence of Confucianism and the subtlety of Taoism—manifested as"external Confucianism and internal Taoism"—enable the"naturalization of humans"and the"humanization of nature"to become pursuits of truth and goodness in spiritual cultivation.The development of traditional Chinese medicine must be grounded in a global perspective,adapting to the demands of big science,informatization,systematization,and public health.Against the backdrop of technological transformation and big science,innovation should be driven by a combination of"leading with our strengths"and"following global advancements",utilizing external resources for our own purposes.Elucidating primordial thinking and closely guiding clinical practice will enhance consensus on efficacy.The advancement of traditional Chinese medicine should be based on the integration of mathematics,physics,chemistry,biology,literature,history,philosophy,and aesthetics,while strengthening medical ethics and deepening the dissemination and education of narrative medicine.This calls for awakening life consciousness,fostering mutual learning among civilizations,and promoting inheritance and innovation to realize the theme of human life and health.关键词
