基于矿物元素指纹图谱分析的长江刀鲚地理溯源研究
Using mineral elemental fingerprinting analysis to trace and determine the geographic source of Coilia nasus collected from the Yangtze River basin
摘要
Abstract
Coilia nasus is a crucial migratory, economically important fish species in the Yangtze River basin;therefore, effective geographic traceability techniques are needed for identifying their geographic source for accurate resource identification in market supervision. In this study,we assessed the compositional differences of 20 elements in the muscle, skin, and bone tissues of C.nasus samples from different stations in the Yangtze River using elemental fingerprint analysis(EFA),aiming to identify suitable biomarker tissues for traceability and optimize the discriminant model. The results of the principal component and linear discriminant analyses revealed high overlap in elemental composition between skin and bone tissues, resulting in low discrimination accuracy and poor traceability performance. In contrast, muscle tissue exhibited characteristic element compositions from different sampling stations. The characteristic element in C.nasus samples from Anqing is Cr,which is present in higher concentrations than in those from the other stations;the characteristic elements in C.nasus samples collected from Taizhou are Hg and Na,which are present in lower concentrations than in those from the other stations;and that in C.nasus samples collected from Shanghai is Ba,which is present in higher concentrations than in those from the other stations.Mo and K were identified as key differential elements among the three stations.Multivariate analysis identified Na,Mo,and Ba as the discriminant elements for spatial differentiation in distribution patterns. The results obtained in this study conclusively revealed the muscle tissue as the optimal choice for the geographic traceability analysis of C.nasus using EFA.The selected discriminant elements enable effective geographic traceability and verification of geographical origins for new C.nasus samples with high identification accuracy. These results provide a reliable technical support for the traceability supervision of illegally caught samples in market regulation, which can effectively help protect the wild resources of C.nasus in the Yangtze River.关键词
