Professor ZHAO Baixiao's Experience in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Spinocerebellar Ataxia
摘要
Abstract
[Objective]To summarize Professor ZHAO Baixiao's academic characteristics and clinical experience in treating spinocerebellar ataxia(SCA).[Methods]Through clinical study with teacher and case analysis,the clinical experience of Professor ZHAO in treating SCA was summarized from traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)classification,core pathogenesis understanding and distinctive treatment protocols,and a medical case was supported for verification.[Results]Professor ZHAO identifies SCA as Fengfei disease in TCM,localized in the brain and Governor Vessel.The core pathogenesis involves"congenital deficiency leading to depletion of the marrow-sea,and acquired deficiency of the spleen and stomach causing the generation of phlegm and blood stasis,which in turn induces wind".The treatment strategy features a trinity approach.Disease-specific acupoints:A triangular moxibustion array on Fengfei point regulates spleen and stomach Qi to enhance nutrient production for brain nourishment,through innovatively applying SUN Simiao's specialized acupoint warm moxibustion method.Targeted intervention:Improved Governor Vessel fire needling with 650℃needles for segmental punctures from Baihui(GV20)to Yaoshu(GV2),achieving dual effects of warming Yang,regulating the Governor Vessel,resolving phlegm-stasis and calming spirit.Syndrome differentiation:combined with acupoint selection based on syndrome differentiation and kidney-tonifying and marrow-nourishing herbs for synergistic effects.A case of SCA type 3 with kidney deficiency,marrow depletion and phlegm stasis induced wind demonstrated significant symptom relief and imaging-confirmed disease stabilization after treatment.[Conclusion]The comprehensive treatment method constructed by Professor ZHAO based on the"congenital root reinforcement-acquired source consolidation-simultaneous treatment of phlegm and stasis"idea effectively alleviates symptoms and delays disease progression,offering novel TCM therapeutic strategies for SCA.Professor ZHAO's integrative approach combining classical wisdom with modern insights provides valuable reference for TCM research in neurodegenerative disorders.关键词
