摘要

Abstract

In this study,Bacillus velezensis MM35(B.velezensis MM35),an Ochratoxin A(OTA)degrading strain with favorable physiological characteristics previously identified in laboratory screening,was selected for investigation.The strain was subjected to acute toxicity tests and acute eye irritation tests.Results demonstrated that following acute exposure to MM35,mice displayed normal behavior and body weight growth,with no abnormalities,deaths,or bacterial translocation observed.Organ analysis revealed no significant pathological changes in macroscopic characterization or microscopic tissue sections when compared to the control group.Furthermore,detection of inflammatory markers showed that MM35 exposure did not cause inflammatory damage to the liver or spleen and exhibited certain anti-inflammatory properties.Acute eye irritation tests indicated that MM35 eye drops caused no mucosal injury.In conclusion,MM35 exhibits high safety,positioning it as a promising candidate for OTA detoxification.This study lays the groundwork for further research into its application in addressing OTA contamination.
