From energy dilemma to digital empowerment:How the digital economy alleviates household energy poverty?
摘要
Abstract
Against the backdrop of China's energy transition and sustainable development,addressing household energy poverty has become increasingly urgent.Using China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)data from 2020 to 2022,this study explores the impact of the digital economy on household energy poverty.An urban-level digital economy index is constructed via the entropy method,while household energy poverty is systematically measured from energy accessibility and affordability perspectives.The results indicate that the digital economy alleviates household energy poverty by reducing income inequality,strengthening social networks,and optimizing household energy consumption structure.Further heterogeneous analysis reveals that this alleviating effect is more pronounced among rural household as well as low-income and low-education families.The findings provide valuable policy implications for advancing the digital economy development andachieving the systematic alleviation of household energy poverty.关键词
