Abstract

This study conducted high heat input welding experiments on marine engineering EH36 high-strength steel,inves-tigating the microstructural characteristics and seawater corrosion resistance of welded joints under different flux-cored wire compositions.By adjusting the Mn element content in flux-cored wires,the seawater corrosion resistance of EH36 steel welded joints under high heat input welding was optimized.The research employed EH36 high-strength steel as the base ma-terial and used self-developed flux-cored wires.By varying the Mn-Fe content in the flux-cored wires(4.137%-12.470%),welding samples with different Mn contents(M1~M5)were prepared.The results showed that different Mn contents led to variations in the microstructure of welded joints.The M5 sample(12.47%Mn-Fe content)exhibited more uniform and finer grain structure,with the welded joint hardness meeting national standard requirements and demonstrating good organiza-tional uniformity.When the Mn-Fe content is 12.47%,the impact toughness of the welded joint is the best at room tempera-ture(20℃),reaching 50.81 J/cm².At this point,the EH36 steel joint exhibits the best corrosion resistance performance.
