Research Progress on Role of Neutrophil Extracellular Traps in Livestock and Poultry Health and Its Nutritional Regulation
摘要
Abstract
Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs),which are DNA-based fibrous networks released by neutro-phils,play a dual role in pathogen defense:moderate formation helps capture and eliminate pathogens,where-as excessive release exacerbates tissue damage and inflammatory responses by releasing effector molecules such as proteases and reactive oxygen species.In livestock and poultry production,various factors including patho-gen infection,metabolic diseases,and reproductive activities(such as conception)can induce the formation of NETs.In recent years,there has been growing interest in utilizing nutritional strategies to regulate NETs forma-tion.This review summarizes the biological functions and mechanisms of NETs in livestock and poultry health,and discusses the potential application of nutritional interventions in modulating NETs formation,aiming to pro-vide a theoretical basis for preventing and treating NETs-related diseases and promoting healthy farming prac-tices.关键词
