摘要

Abstract

[Purpose]This study compared the nutritional components and in vitro bioactivities of different parts of Strobilanthes sar-corrhizus from distinct producing areas,aiming to provide evidence for identifying high-quality producing areas and parts prioritized for utilization.[Method]Stems/leaves,tuberous roots,and rhizomes of S.sarcorrhizus samples were collected from Rui'an,Yongjia,and Huangyan(Zhejiang,China).The content of nutritional components,the ABTS and DPPH radical-scavenging capaci-ties,and the α-amylase inhibitory activity were evaluated.An entropy weight-grey relational analysis model was employed for com-prehensive evaluation.[Result]Significant differences in nutrient profiles were observed among different producing areas and differ-ent plant parts.Stems/leaves contained higher levels of total flavonoids,total phenols,protein,and fat than tuberous roots and rhi-zomes.Tuberous roots exhibited higher total sugar content,whereas rhizomes showed higher reducing sugar content.Mineral ele-ments displayed producing area-and part-dependent distribution patterns.The ABTS and DPPH radical-scavenging capacities and α-amylase inhibitory activity were generally higher in stems/leaves and rhizomes and lower in tuberous roots.Correlation analysis indi-cated that zinc content showed a highly significant negative correlation with both ABTS and DPPH radical scavenging rates,and the fat content exhibited a highly significant negative correlation with the ABTS radical scavenging rate.Conversely,the calcium content demonstrated a highly significant positive correlation with the ABTS radical scavenging rate,and the protein content displayed a highly significant positive correlation with the DPPH radical scavenging rate.Total sugar content had a highly significantly negative correlation with α-amylase inhibitory activity,while magnesium and fat content had highly significantly and significantly positive cor-relations with α-amylase inhibitory activity.Comprehensive evaluation identified that the stems/leaves from Yongjia,stems/leaves and tuberous roots from Huangyan,and stems/leaves and rhizomes from Rui'an demonstrated superior overall nutritional quality.[Conclusion]Marked differences exist in nutritional composition and in vitro antioxidant and blood glucose-lowering activities of S.sarcorrhizus among different producing areas and plant parts.Stems/leaves generally exhibit higher nutritional levels and stronger in vitro activities,exhibiting the potential for development as a non-traditionally utilized part.The entropy weight-grey relational analy-sis model provides an objective approach for evaluating the nutritional components of S.sarcorrhizus.
