枫香优树家系苗期性状的变异与选择
Variations and selection of seedling traits in Liquidambar formosana families

Abstract
[Purpose]To explore the genetic variation patterns of seedling growth traits in Liquidambar formosana families and se-lect the families with outstanding seedling performance,thus providing elite materials for afforestation in Western Fujian.[Method]The seedlings of 24 elite trees obtained through free pollination in Zhangping and Wuping of Fujian were used as the research materi-als.The analysis of variance,correlation analysis,and genetic parameter estimation were performed for the seedling growth traits.Fi-nally,the seedling performance of different families were comprehensively evaluated and the elite families were selected.[Result]Seedling growth traits showed highly significant differences among different families.Twelve traits including seedling height,ground diameter,and height-to-diameter ratio showed the coefficients of variation ranging from 8.04%to 105.65%and the heritability ran-ging from 0.458 to 0.982 among families.The correlation analysis showed that there were significant or extremely significant positive correlations between seedling height,ground diameter,crown width,thickest branch diameter,number of branches,and aboveground dry mass,as well as between main root length,underground dry mass,number of gradeⅠlateral roots,average length of grade Ⅰ lateral roots,and average diameter of grade Ⅰ lateral roots.Five elite families with excellent seedling growth perform-ance were selected by comprehensive evaluation.Their average genetic gains of seedling height,ground diameter,height-to-diameter ratio,crown width,diameter of the thickest branch,number of branches,aboveground dry mass,underground dry mass,number of grade Ⅰ lateral roots,and average diameter of grade I lateral roots were 18.46%,5.92%,15.52%,31.81%,12.06%,22.84%,25.05%,6.19%,10.74%,and 10.34%,respectively.Their average actual gains were 19.45%,6.86%,15.81%,35.80%,14.32%,25.84%,28.24%,8.18%,12.91%,and 12.80%,respectively.[Conclusion]There are significant genetic differences in the seedling growth traits among L.formosana families,which have great potential for genetic improvement.Five elite fast-growing families,including WP17,WP12,ZP8,ZP10,and ZP7,were selected to provide materials for genetic improvement and afforesta-tion of L.formosana in Western Fujian.关键词
