Abstract

The core research methods for the heat transfer and flow of the arc-molten coupling system in TIG welding were systematically summarized.There are two types of research methods for studying the heat transfer and flow of the arc molten pool coupling system,namely experimental research method and numerical simulation research method.The experimental study measured the arc and molten pool separately as independent objects,and used data acquisition techniques such as pressure sensors and radiation spectroscopy analysis to detect and record the thermo-mechanical coupling behavior and dynamic behavior of the molten pool during the welding process,thereby quantitatively revealing the heat transfer and flow of the arc molten pool.However,this method is difficult to accurately characterize the coupling mechanism between the two.Numerical simulation can achieve multi physics field coupling analysis of arc and molten pool.By converting the thermal effect of arc on molten pool into boundary conditions or control equation source terms,an arc molten pool coupling model can be constructed.Meanwhile,this model can further reveal the inherent control mechanism of metal vapor on arc contraction,heat flux distribution evolution,etc.,but its reliability needs to be verified through experimental data.The current optimal research path in this field is dominated by numerical simulation,combined with key experimental verification,to construct a quantitative model of the coupled system through numerical simulation and reveal the inherent laws of heat transfer and flow.Verify model accuracy and adjust parameters based on experimental data.The synergy between the two can accurately characterize the heat transfer and flow characteristics of the arc-molten coupling system,providing solid theoretical support for parameter control and process optimization in TIG welding processes,thereby improving welding quality and efficiency.
