Research on the Microwave Absorbing Performance of the Lightweight Composite with Double Layer Structure

Abstract
With the continuous improvement of modern military technology,high-speed aircraft require high flight speed and good survivability.Thus,developing novel materials with low density and excellent radar stealth performance holds significant science and application value.Graphene has potential applications in the field of microwave-absorbing materials,due to its lightweight and corrosion-resistant.However,its high conductivity can cause an impedance mismatch between the material and free space,which can reduce the absorbing performance.Based on the above problems,this work utilized alumina with a low dielectric constant as a controlling impedance-matching component and graphene as a microwave attenuation component,to prepare a series of alumina-graphene/paraffin(Al2O3-G)composites with the double-layer structure.The microwave absorbing performance of the composite was controlled by changing alumina and graphene contents.The maximum reflection loss value of the composite material reached-42.01 dB at 6.4 GHz with an effective absorption bandwidth of 2.56 GHz(8.24~10.64 GHz),when the alumina and graphene contents were 30 wt%and 5 wt%,respectively.The Al2O3-G composite has potential application prospects in the field of microwave absorption due to excellent reflection loss and effective absorption bandwidth.关键词
