摘要

Abstract

As a key component of modern airborne electronic systems,the radiation performance and spatial adaptability of conformal antennas directly affect the communication quality and stealth characteristics of aircraft.This paper addresses the challenges encountered in traditional forward design methods for airborne conformal antennas,including difficulties in antenna structural selection and low efficiency in design optimization.To overcome these issues,this paper propose an inverse inversion design method for airborne conformal antennas by integrating the plane wave spectrum method and the mode analysis method.This approach focuses on meeting user-defined constraints regarding antenna layout,spatial dimensions,and radiation performance,enabling the design of antenna structures and optimization of their dimensions without relying on predefined radiation structure types commonly used in conventional antenna designs.By maximizing radiation performance while complying with spatial layout constraints,this method allows for the realization of highly efficient antenna radiation.As a case study,we apply this method to design a buried cavity airborne conformal ultra-shortwave broadband omnidirectional antenna.Experimental results demonstrate that the performance metrics of the designed antenna and meet the practical requirements for airborne antenna applications.Thus,this method offers a new technical approach for designing high-performance conformal antennas in avionics systems.
