Research Progress on Application and Mechanism of n-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids in Improving Pet Inflammation Dermatosis

Abstract
n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(n-3 PUFAs)are essential fatty acids for animal life,but they can′t be synthesized in vivo and must be obtained from diet.In the field of pet health,skin inflammation in pets manifests as symptoms such as pruritus,papules,and erythema,which compromise pet health.Although dietary supplementation with n-3 PUFAs can maintain skin structure and alleviate skin inflammation,the underlying mechanisms remain incompletely understood.This review summarizes relevant studies on the application of n-3 PUFAs to improve skin inflammatory in pet dogs and cats,and combed out the possible mechanisms of n-3 PUFAs to improve inflammatory dermatosis,providing a reference for the application of n-3 PUFAs to address skin inflammatory conditions in the pet.关键词
