Abstract

In order to address the problems of incomplete parameter acquisition,delayed fault diagnosis,and insufficient alarm response efficiency during the operation of new energy vehicles(NEVs),this paper designs and implements an operating parameter monitoring and fault alarm system based on the Controller Area Network(CAN)bus.Sensors are deployed at key components such as the power battery,drive motor,and vehicle control unit,enabling real-time acqui-sition and transmission of multi-source data including voltage,current,temperature,rotational speed,and state of charge(SOC)via the CAN bus.The master control unit parses and fuses the collected data,and a fault diagnosis and alarm mechanism combining multi-level thresholds with model-driven methods is constructed to achieve rapid identifi-cation and graded response for typical faults such as overvoltage,undervoltage,overcurrent,and overheating.Further-more,a wireless communication module is integrated to transmit operating parameters and fault information to an upper computer or mobile terminal for remote monitoring and maintenance.Real vehicle test results show that the CAN bus,operating at 500 kbps,achieved continuous data collection for 2 hours without frame loss.In 200 groups of simulated tests on the four types of typical faults,the fault recognition accuracy reached 97.8%,with an average recognition time of 1.2 s for battery overheating alarms.The average delay from fault occurrence to alarm signal output was 0.85 s,re-presenting a 36%reduction compared with traditional microcontroller-based monitoring schemes.These results demon-strate that the proposed system has significant advantages in operating parameter monitoring and fault warning,and can effectively improve the operational safety and reliability of NEVs.
