Research on the agglomeration development of forestry industry along Yunnan's border areas under"resource-capacity"synergy

Abstract
Examining the impact of the"resource-capacity"synergy on the forestry industry aggregation in the border areas of Yunnan helps to reveal the intrinsic mechanisms of industrial agglomeration,thereby facilitating the high-quality development of the local forestry industry and achieving the goals of revitalizing border areas and enriching the residents.To explore the spatial agglomeration of forestry industry along Yunnan's border areas under"resource-capacity"synergy,this study examined 25 counties(cities)in the region with Dagum Gini coefficients,kernel-density estimation and geographically temporally weighted regression.The results showed that:(1)The overall agglomeration differences of the forestry-industry in Yunan's border areas showed a continuous narrowing trand,but the differences were still relatively large.Looking at different regions,although the degree of data dispersion in the middle section had narrowed,the overall data span was still relatively large,and the agglomeration differences within the region were the most prominent.The eastern section showed a significant multi-polarization trend,and the degree of data dispersion showed an expanding trend,exacerbating the imbalance in development.Although the differences in the western section were continuously narrowing,the degree of data dispersion also showed an expanding trend,and the phenomenon of uneven development still existed.(2)The"resource-capacity"synergy in Yunnan's boreder areas had a significant positive effect on the agglomeration of the forestry industry,underscoring the value of coordination.Among control variables,industrial structure,government regulaton and regional economic development level were important promoting factors for the agglomeration of the forestry industry.Whereas financial environment displayed a deepening negative effect,indicating that financial resources might be misallocated away from the core industry segments.By framing the agglomeration of forestry industry along Yunnan's border areas through the lens of"resource-capacity"synergy,the paper provided a fresh perspective for the study of agglomeration,and put forward policy implications such as strengthening region-wide coordination with phased implementation,deepening resource-capacity coupling,and promoting the structural reform of the financial supply system.关键词
