Abstract
In order to study the diffusion law of natural gas leakage in residential kitchens,a residential kitchen model was established.The Fire Dynamics Simulator(FDS)software was used to simulate the natural gas diffusion under different leakage rate condi-tions(leakage rates of 2.5,2.0,1.5,1.0,and 0.5 m3/h)and different ventilation area conditions(ventilation ar-eas of 0.3,0.6,0.9,1.2,1.5,and 1.8 m2).The research results show that under all tested leakage rate and ven-tilation area conditions:the overall methane volume fraction at the bottom of the refrigerator is relatively low,far below the lower explosive limit(LEL);when the ventilation area is 1.5 m2 or higher,the methane vol-ume fraction at the ceiling light can be controlled below the LEL;an alarm can be triggered approximately 25 seconds after the leakage occurs.For the natural gas leak-age scenario in residential kitchens,leaked natural gas moves upward and accumulates in the upper layer.In the absence of mechanical ventilation,the leakage rate and ventilation area determine the ac-cumulation degree at different positions in the kitchen.A video showing the tracer particles of natural gas leak-age is attached at the end of the paper,which can be viewed by scanning the QR code.关键词
