Seismic analysis and design of a steel-timber hybrid structure
摘要
Abstract
This paper introduces a two-story office building project in Wuxi,China,that adopts a steel-timber hybrid structure to satisfy the requirements for both fire protection and structural performance.After comparing different design options,the system characterized by a steel-timber hybrid structure was selected.The system combines timber and steel columns as vertical components,integrates CLT(cross-laminated timber)slabs and reinforced steel decks as horizontal components,and employs hybrid trusses composed of timber and steel members.The paper provides a detailed description of the structural layout,system selection,and evaluation of alternative schemes,as well as a comparative analysis of their seismic performance.For the system of steel-timber hybrid structure,response spectra and time-history analyses under low-intensity seismic excitation were performed to verify the rationality of this system.A method for determining the damping ratio of steel-timber hybrid structures is also proposed.Finally,the paper outlines the overall design approach,including methods for component design and connection design.The analyses and methods presented in this study provide practical guidance for the design of steel-timber hybrid structures in multi-story buildings.关键词
