Erosion and sedimentation characteristics of grouped sediment during flood process in the Ningxia-Inner Mongolia reach of the Yellow River
摘要
Abstract
The particle size of sediment from different source areas in the Ningxia-Inner Mongolia reach of the upper Yellow River varies greatly, and the erosion and sedimentation characteristics are closely related to the decision-making schemes of river regulation.Based on the measured data since 1960,the sources of sediment, especially the coarse sediment transported into the Ningxia-Inner Mongolia reach, are studied and analyzed. The sediment comes from the main stream, the tributaries and the aeolian sand entering the Yellow River. The sediment with particle size less than 0.05 mm is the main body of incoming sediment, and there are certain coarse sediment with particle size greater than 0.05 mm in different source areas. The erosion and deposition characteristics in the Ningxia-Inner Mongolia reach during flood processes occurring in the main stream and tributaries of the Ningxia-Inner Mongolia reach are revealed further. With the increase of flow level of the non-floodplain flood in the main stream gradually, the channel shifts from siltation to erosion, and the flow range conducive to sediment transport in each sediment size group is 2 500~3 000 m3/s.During the tributary flood, the reach in Inner Mongolia from Bayangaole to Toudaoguai is characterize by sedimentation, the strength of deposition is closely related to the inflow of the main stream. The larger the inflow of the main stream is,the stronger is the sediment transport capacity of the river channel and the lighter is the deposition.关键词
