摘要

Abstract

Epimedium is a major medicinal herb in China.Against the backdrop of depleting wild resources and growing market demand,the development of its cultivated production has become essential.This paper systematically reviews the effects of two cultivation modes-wild-simulating ecological planting and intensive planting-on the yield,quality,and secondary metabolite accumulation in Epimedium.It further analyzes the mechanisms underlying the roles of germplasm resources,ecological factors,and cultivation practices within these systems.A multi-dimensional comparison is presented,covering ecological impact,medicinal authenticity,and economic benefits.The future of the Epimedium industry should advance toward"ecological intensification."an integrated approach that combines the ecological and quality advantages of wild-simulating modes with the efficiency and scalability of intensive cultivation.Through key technologies such as germplasm innovation,soil microbiome regulation,and optimized light-fertilizer-water management,synergistic improvements in both quality and yield can be realized.This study offers theoretical support and practical pathways for the green and sustainable development of the Epimedium industry.
