Abstract

Eddy current heat is generated by the isolation sleeve cutting the magnetic field lines,and friction heat of sliding bearing in the magnetic coupling of the magnetic pump.To investigate the flow field characteristics of the working medium and their influence on the force distribution of the sliding bearing under different lubrication and cooling flow channel structures,six lubrication zone calculation models(A1—A6)and six cooling zones were established by modifying the structures of the two diver-sion holes on the pump cover and the reflux hole structure on the pump shaft.The Fluent software was used to analyze the characteristics of the lubrication and cooling flow fields characteristics and the mag-nitude of the additional static pressure exerted on the sliding bearing.The results show that vortices are formed at the root of the lubrication diversion hole when liquid flows through it.The greater the inclina-tion angle,the smaller the vortex.A larger aperture and a smaller inclination angle result in lower pres-sure loss and reduce local pressure on the end face of the sliding bearing.Pressure loss occurs when the liquid flows through the cooling diversion hole.With a larger aperture and a smaller inclination angle,the local high-pressure and low-pressure zones are easy to form before entering the cooling gap of the isolation sleeve.The high-pressure zone is consists of a closed volume of liquid,while the low-pressure zone forms a large vortex,increasing energy loss.Comparative analysis shows that the optimal lubrica-tion cooling structures are calculation model A4(the lubrication diversion hole with a diameter of 10 mm and an inclination angle of 30°)and calculation model B1(the cooling diversion hole with a diam-eter of 6 mm and an inclination angle of 17°).
