Interpretation of Ziwan(Asteris Radix Et Rhizoma)Based on Pharmacological Method State

Abstract
Image thinking,as the core cognitive paradigm of the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),has unique value in explaining Chinese medicinal properties.Taking the pharmacological method state as the theoretical framework,this paper systematically analyzes the phenological characteristics(shape,color,property,flavor,form,and texture)and spatio-temporal attributes(growth habitat and harvesting time)of Ziwan(Asteris Radix Et Rhizoma),and constructs the mapping relationship between its"natural manifestation-medicinal state-pharmacological effect"through the cognitive path of"images abstracting from observing-interpreting the medicine by images".The study found that Ziwan is mild in nature with the properties of acridity to disperse and bitterness to descend.Its purple color and moist texture enable it to enter the blood system.Its soft form and dissipating property can disperse and facilitate.It is harvested in autumn(corresponding to the metal phase in the five-element theory)and thus embodies the virtue of purifying and descending.This medicinal state characteristic forms a coherent theoretical and practical system with its clinical effects such as relieving cough and asthma,and promoting defecation and urination.关键词
