Effects of Acupoint Massage on Promoting Affected Limb Rehabilitation after Transradial Percutane-ous Coronary Intervention

Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of acupoint massage on promoting affected limb rehabilitation after transradial percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods A total of 160 patients with coronary arteriosclerotic heart disease were selected.All of them had received transradial PCI at the Cardiology Department of Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine,Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September to December 2023.They were randomly divided(1∶1)into the test group(n=80)and the control group(n=80).The control group received routine postoperative care,while the test group additionally received acupoint massage.The degree of postoperative limb pain,the palm circumference in affected limbs,and the complication incidence in affected limbs were compared between the two groups.Results At 2 h,7 h and 24 h postoperative,the test group showed significantly lower pain scores,significantly smaller palm circumference in affected limbs,and significantly lower ecchymosis incidence in affected limbs than the control group(P<0.05 for all).Conclusion Acupoint massage reduces pain and swelling in affected limbs,lowers the incidence of ecchymosis,alleviates patient discomfort and promotes limb rehabilitation after transradial PCI.关键词
