Abstract
Objective To review and summarize the studies on behavioral parent training(BPT)for children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder(ADHD),aiming to provide a reference for the application of BPT in ADHD children.Methods Using the scoping review method,articles on the application of BPT in ADHD children were searched online in Chinese and English databases including CNKI,CBMdisc,PubMed and Embase from their establishment to April 30,2024.After screening and quality evaluation of included articles,the forms,contents,intervention strategies and outcomes of BPT for ADHD children were summarized and analyzed.Results A total of 13 articles were included,all in English and published from November 2007 to September 2023,including 12 high-quality randomized controlled trials and 1 medium-quality quasi-randomized controlled trial.Nine types of BPT programs were summarized,including Positive Parenting Program(3P),Incredible Years Parent Training,Group Executive Function and Online Parent Training,Systematic Behavior Management Parent Training,Traditional Behavior Parent Training,Groningen Family BPT,New Forest Parenting Program,Helping the Noncompliant Child and 1-2-3 Magic.The training forms primarily involved online and in-person group sessions and home visits.The training elements covered five topics:managing bad behaviors,improving executive function,helping children with time planning,enhancing parent-child relationships,and developing positive parenting strategies.The outcomes focused on symptom recovery in ADHD children and their caregivers,and assessments of parenting skills and stress levels.The most commonly used measurement tools were the Swanson,Nolan and Pelham Teacher and Parent Rating Scale IV(SNAP-IV)and the ADHD Rating Scale IV(ADHD-RS-IV).Conclusion BPT relieves symptoms and bad behaviors in ADHD children and enhances parents'parenting skills.It is recommended to explore more personalized training programs and conduct large-scale,high-quality randomized controlled trials in the future to further evaluate the effects of BPT,thereby promoting its application in ADHD children.关键词
