Abstract
Objective To look into the physical and mental experiences of sleep disorders in polar workers, explore influencing factors of sleep disorders and propose interventions, aiming to provide a reference for improving sleep quality in this population. Methods In May 2024,10 individuals with sleep disorders during polar missions underwent one-on-one semi-structured in-depth interviews to analyze and identify the influencing factors of their sleep disorders. Results Their interview data were analyzed using Colaizzi's seven-step method. In terms of the influencing factors of sleep disorders in polar workers, four topics were identified:1)environmental factors:low temperature, hypoxia, noise, polar day, magnetic field, changes in dietary structure, and monotonous lifestyle,2)work factors:work pressure, working hours and positions,3)personal factors:family factors and individual factors, and 4)psychological factors, encompassing 11 subtopics. Conclusion The influencing factors of sleep disorders in polar workers are complex.Managers should develop personalized and targeted interventions based on their actual experiences to improve their sleep quality.Additionally,it is recommended to enhance social awareness of polar workers and further improve their sleep environment.Furthermore, measures such as reducing work stress, arranging scientific work-rest schedules and conducting adaptive training should be adopted to promote their physical and mental health.关键词
