Abstract

The four molecular sieves of HSSZ-13,HZSM-57,HZSM-5,and Hβ with different topologies were characterized by XRD,XRF,SEM,NH3-TPD,N2 adsorption-desorption,and Py-FTIR.The four molecular sieves were used in the catalytic cracking of n-octane.The diffusion behavior of n-octane in molecular sieves and the catalytic cracking performance of molecular sieves were studied.Results indicate that when the mass ratio of molecular sieve to feedstock oil is 0.28,0.41,0.52,and 0.68,respectively,HZSM-57 molecular sieve exhibits superior selectivity in light olefins and CH4 to HZSM-5 and Hβ molecular sieve.This is attributed to favorable adsorption-diffusion properties of n-octane in HZSM-57 molecular sieve,optimal acid amount and suitable pore aperture of HZSM-57 molecular sieve,which promote the formation of primary cracking products.Additionally,its platy structure helps reduce the residence time of olefins,thereby suppressing side reactions such as hydrogen transfer.
