Abstract
Osteoporosis(OP)and Osteoarthritis(OA)are clinically prevalent degenerative skeletal disorders characterized by escalating prevalence and disability rates,which profoundly impair the patients' quality of life.As a classical formula for tonify-ing the kidney and replenishing essence,Guilu Erxian Glue(龟鹿二仙胶)has demonstrated enduring therapeutic efficacy and theoretical advantages in modern OP and OA prevention and treatment since its initial documentation in the Ming Dynasty medical text Yibian.Rooted in the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)theories of"kidney governing bones and generating marrow"and"liver-kidney homology,"as well as the therapeutic principle of"treating different diseases with the same method,"Guilu Erxian Glue regulates bone metabolism by replenishing the liver and kidney,and nourishing essence and marrow.This systematic review synthesizes Guilu Erxian Glue's theoretical foundations,clinical applications,mechanisms,and pharmacological actions,ai-ming to provide insights for its application in OP and OA management and to inform future research directions.关键词
