Abstract
Revealing the internal logic of how digital finance impacts the high-quality development of agriculture is of critical sig-nificance for promoting the empowerment of digital finance in agriculture for high-quality development and facilitating agricultural modernization in the new era.Based on panel data from 235 cities in China from 2012 to 2022,this paper examines the impact of digital finance on high-quality agricultural development and the mediating mechanism from the perspective of resource allocation.The study finds that digital finance significantly promotes high-quality agricultural development,with this promoting effect being more pronounced in the eastern region and areas with advanced economic and financial development.Additionally,the threshold effect analysis reveals that the structural upgrading of agricultural industry exhibits a single threshold effect in the context of digital finance driving high-quality agricultural development.Mechanism analysis indicates that capital misallocation and labor misalloca-tion exert a concealment effect on the impact of digital finance on high-quality agricultural development.Accordingly,it is essen-tial to improve digital infrastructure,promote the widespread and deepening of digital finance,and overcome the threshold for the structural upgrading of the agricultural industry as soon as possible.This should be complemented by the rational allocation of ag-ricultural capital and labor resources and advance high-quality agricultural development.关键词
