Operation status quo of diabetes specialist nursing outpatient clinics in 1 093 hospitals in China

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the operation status quo of diabetes specialist nursing outpatient clinics across hospitals in China and to provide reference for the standardized construction of diabetes specialty nursing outpatient clinics in China.Methods:The convenience sampling method was used to investigate the managers of diabetes specialty nursing outpatient clinics in hospitals at all levels across 21 provinces,5 autonomous regions,and 4 municipalities directly by a self-designed questionnaires from May to July 2024.Results:Among the 1 093 diabetes specialty nursing outpatient clinics,69.63%of diabetes specialty nursing outpatient clinics had independent outpatient clinics.The frequency of weekly consultation was 3(1,9)times.The time of each patient's consultation was(20.52±11.59)minutes.60.20%of diabetes specialty nursing outpatient visiting nurses were part-time.81.06%of diabetes specialty nursing outpatient visiting nurses had a minimum degree of undergraduate.76.30%of diabetes specialty nursing outpatient clinics encountered difficulties in the construction process.77.95%of diabetes specialty nursing outpatient clinics encountered difficulties during operation.Conclusions:There is a good prospect for the development of diabetes specialty nursing outpatient clinics in China.It is urgent to formulate and implement the national standards for the construction of diabetes specialty nursing outpatient clinics,and to improve supporting policies to promote the sustainable development of diabetes specialty nursing outpatient clinics in China.关键词
