On the Value Reconstruction,Realistic Dilemmas,and Practical Pathway of Digitalization in China's Higher Education:A Perspective Based on the Spatial Turn

Abstract
Against the backdrop of rapid advancements in digital technology,the digital transformation of higher education has become a key strategy for China from a major higher education nation to a leading higher education one.Existing research predominantly focuses on technological applications and institutional reforms,with insufficient systematic attention to the spatial dimensions of higher education digitization.By introducing the theoretical perspective of the"spatial turn"from geography and sociology,this study aims to transcend instrumental rationality,analyze the evolution of value logic and practical challenges within the digitization process,and explore future development pathways.Addressing multiple challenges in China's higher education digitalization such as inefficient spatial integration,lagging spatial governance mechanisms,and obstructed transformation agents,this study proposes practical approaches across four dimensions:technology-driven innovation,scenario-based innovation,institutional development,and cultural cultivation and it seeks to construct a new ecosystem for higher education digitalization characterized by the synergistic evolution of"technology-institution-human,"aiming to provide theoretical underpinnings and practical references for building a digital higher education system with Chinese characteristics.关键词
