Research Progress on the Biological Function of SOX13 and its Mechanism in Cancer Occurrence

Abstract
The SOX family consists of 20 genes,encoding transcription factors with highly conserved high mobility group(HMG)box DNA-binding domains similar to the sex-determining region Y(Sry)protein.These SOX proteins play crucial roles in transcriptional regulation,acting as both positive and negative regulators and exerting their functions through diverse mechanisms.SOX13 is one member of the SOX family,located on chromosome 1q32.SOX13 plays a vital role in biological processes,especially in chondrogenesis,neurogenesis,limb development,tumors and metabolic diseases.This review summarizes the structure and function of SOX13,as well as the latest progress in the occurrence of cancer diseases,in order to help disease diagnosis and clinical treatment.关键词
