Abstract
To achieve convenient and efficient determination and evaluation of the dynamic modulus of asphalt pavements,rel-ying on old road reconstruction and expansion projects,standard core specimens of asphalt pavement were prepared by using multi-function core drilling machine and high-precision double-sided saw.Ultrasonic tests and indirect tensile tests were conducted,and the dynamic modulus test results from the surface course and base course were fitted using various func-tional forms to analyze the correlation between the dynamic modulus obtained from the two methods.At the same time,the fit-ting relationship between the two was validated in reverse by obtaining core sample test results from different regions and differ-ent mixture types.The results show that a clear correlation exists between the dynamic modulus of asphalt pavement measured by ultrasonic test and indirect tensile test,and the quadratic polynomial function has the best fitting effect,followed by expo-nential function and poor power function;the correlation of base course modulus obtained by the two methods is obviously high-er than that of the surface course.Therefore,in the modulus parameter evaluation system for asphalt pavements,especially for semi-rigid base pavement,ultrasonic test is recommended to replace the indirect tensile test as a method to quickly evaluate the modulus characteristics of asphalt pavement.关键词
