Abstract
Objective To explore the distribution of TCM constitution types and prognostic factors in patients with perianal abscess.Methods A standardized TCM Constitution Classification Scale was adopted to evaluate the TCM constitutions of 277 hospitalized patients with perianal abscess in 2023.A retrospective clinical study was conducted to analyze the influence of TCM constitution types and other factors on the postop‐erative clinical outcomes of perianal abscess.Results The distribution of TCM constitutions among the 277 patients was as follows:damp-heat constitution(104 cases,37.55%),phlegm-dampness constitution(68 cases,24.55%),yin-deficiency constitution(25 cases,9.03%),blood-stasis constitution(21 cases,7.58%),balanced constitution(20 cases,7.22%),yang-deficiency constitution(16 cases,5.78%),qi-stagnation constitution(11 cases,3.97%),qi-deficiency constitution(10 cases,3.61%),and special constitu‐tion(2 cases,0.72%).Univariate analysis showed that body mass index(BMI),diabetes mellitus(DM),and abscess type(high/low position)were prognostic factors related to perianal abscess.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that high BMI(≥24.0 kg/m²),DM,abscess type,damp-heat constitution and phlegm-dampness constitution were independent prognostic factors for perianal abscess.Conclusion The most common TCM constitution types in patients with perianal abscess are damp-heat constitution,phlegm-dampness constitution and yin-deficiency constitution.Moreover,patients with damp-heat constitution or phlegm-dampness constitution are more likely to have clinical ineffectiveness or recurrence.TCM constitution can be used as a routine assessment method for this disease,which may play a beneficial role in prevention and treatment.关键词
