Abstract
Objective To analyze the improvement effect and postoperative complications of transoral malar fat pad lifting surgery for midfacial rejuvenation.Methods A total of 200 female subjects seeking aesthetic enhancement underwent transoral malar fat pad lifting surgery between October 2023 and October 2024.The postoperative outcomes and incidence of complications were evaluated by comparing pre-and postoperative Wrinkle Severity Rating Scale(WSRS)scores and patient self-assessed satisfaction based on the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale(GAIS).Results The postoperative WSRS score(1.52±0.69)was significantly lower than the preoperative score(4.12±0.94),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05),indicating a notable improvement in nasolabial folds.Patient self-assessed GAIS follow-up results showed that 180 patients were very satisfied,12 were satisfied,and 8 considered the outcome acceptable,yielding a satisfaction rate of 100％.At the 1-week postoperative follow-up,complications included pain in 100 cases(50％)and upper lip numbness in 8 cases(4％).No complications such as infection,hematoma,or wound dehiscence were observed.At the 3-month follow-up,suture exposure was noted in 2 cases(1％).At the 1-year follow-up,no complications such as facial nerve injury,abnormal facial expression,or significant scarring were reported.Conclusions Transoral malar fat pad lifting surgery demonstrates significant efficacy for midfacial rejuvenation,with the advantages of minimal trauma and a short recovery period.关键词
