Abstract
Objective To explore the risk factors for bilateral asymmetry after double eyelid surgery.Methods A total of 209 patients who double eyelid surgery at Zhongshan Hospital affiliated with Xiamen University from January 2021 to December 2024 were selected.They were divided into a bilateral asymmetry group(37)and a bilateral symmetry group(172)based on whether bilateral asymmetry occurred after surgery.Clinical data of the patients were collected,and univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis were conducted to identify the risk factors for their occurrence.Results Compared with the bilateral symmetrical group,the bilateral asymmetrical group had a higher proportion of upper eyelid skin removal,orbital fat removal,postoperative infection,and soft suspension(P＜0.05).Logistic multivariate analysis showed that upper eyelid skin removal(OR=2.452),orbital fat removal(OR=3.362),postoperative infection(OR=3.791),and soft suspension(OR=2.329)were independent risk factors for bilateral asymmetry afte double eyelid surgery(P＜0.05).Conclusions The occurrence of bilateral asymmetry in patients after double eyelid surgery is related to the removal of upper eyelid skin,orbital fat,postoperative infection,and soft suspension.Targeted nursing strategies are needed to address this issue.关键词
