Abstract
Shizao Wan(十枣丸)is derived from the Shizao decoction(十枣汤)by changing its dosage form.Originating from Shanghan Lun(《伤寒论》)it consists of four ingredients:Yuanhua(Flos Genkwa),Gansui(Radix Euphorbiae Kansui),Daji(Radix Knoxiae),and Dazao(Fructus Jujubae).It excels in expelling fluid and is primarily used for treating hydrothorax and edema.Shizao Wan has a strong and significant effect,is capable of rapidly clearing obstructed phlegm and turbidity,and promoting lung Qi(气).It is highly effective in alleviating symptoms such as breathlessness,cough,and expectoration in patients.After taking the prescription,patients may experience loose stools and then significant relief from symptoms such as breathlessness,and chest and abdominal fullness.The author explores the rationale of the formula,the modern clinical application,and typical case analysis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)of phlegm-turbidity obstructing the lungs type,summarizing the clinical experience of using Shizao Wan to treat this condition.This study believes that Shizao Wan is one of the specific therapies for the treatment of COPD of phlegm-turbidity obstructing the lung type.As long as it is used properly,the effect will be achieved.The key of the clinical application of Shizao Wan is to use it in a small dose and short course according to the symptoms,and take away it when the condition is about to ameliorate,so as to ensure the safety of medication.This formula provides a unique and effective approach and method for treating COPD of phlegm-turbidity obstructing lungs type.关键词
