Introduction to genetic resources of Wuxue goat
摘要
Abstract
Wuxue goat is an excellent livestock and poultry genetic resource in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hunan Province.It has excellent characteristics such as strong adaptability,strong disease resistance,good stress resistance,high lambing rate and strong fecundity,and has high economic value and research value.This paper mainly introduced the origin,historical origin,distribution range,growth environment,quantity change and body shape and appearance characteristics of Wuxue goat,briefly described the current situation of resource protection of Wuxue goat,and analyzed and discussed the genetic characteristics of Wuxue goat by measuring body size,weight,production performance and muscle composition.The main characteristics of Wuxue goat were white coat,small size,high slaughter rate,good meat quality,good skin quality,high lambing rate,strong fecundity,good at climbing mountains and feeding,suitable for mountain grazing.It is suggested that Wuxue goat can be used to breed new breeds or specialized strains for meat,skin and high propagation;Develop high-end healthy and delicious dishes;Combined with the rich local tourism resources and folk culture in Western Hunan,the research,development and utilization directions of regional characteristic brands and cultural tourism products were developed,in order to provide reference for the development of Wuxue goat industry.关键词
