Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Qingke Pingchuan Granules combined with anti-infective drugs in the treatment of adult community-acquired pneumonia(CAP)with phlegm-heat obstructing Fei syndrome.Methods Totally 80 CAP patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group(40 cases in each group).Both groups received standard Western medicine anti-infection treatment,while the observation group additionally received Qingke Pingchuan Granules for 7 days.The primary outcome measure was the radiological score,assessed using a modified quantitative scale for pneumonia radiological absorption.Secondary outcome measures included the cough severity score,the cough and sputum assessment questionnaire,white blood cell count,high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),time to cough resolution,time to sputum resolution,duration of anti-infective therapy,and safety monitoring.Results All patients completed the study and were included in the analysis.After treatment,compared to baseline,both groups showed significant decreases in radiological scores,cough severity scores,and hs-CRP levels(P＜0.01),along with significant increases in cough symptom scores,cough impact scores,sputum symptom scores,and sputum impact scores(P＜0.01).Compared to the control group,the observation group showed a greater reduction in cough severity score(P＜0.01),and greater increases in cough symptom score,cough impact score,sputum symptom score,and sputum impact score(P＜0.01).Additionally,the observation group experienced shorter times to cough and sputum resolution,a reduced duration of anti-infective therapy,and a higher overall efficacy(P＜0.01).No adverse events were reported in either group.Conclusion Qingke Pingchuan Granules combined with anti-infective drugs exerts a more significant effect on adult CAP with phlegm-heat obstructing Fei syndrome than anti-infective drugs alone,and can significantly alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients.关键词
