摘要

Abstract

To enhance the deployment flexibility of intelligent reflecting surfaces(IRSs)in rate-splitting multiple access(RSMA)systems and improve the energy efficiency of RSMA,a self-sustainable IRS-assisted RSMA downlink system model is established.With the objective of maximizing system energy efficiency,a joint optimization problem involving rate allocation,beamforming,mode selection,and discrete phase shifts is formulated under energy harvesting constraints and discrete phase-shift constraints.The original problem is decomposed into two subproblems,which are solved alternately in an iterative manner until convergence.For the rate allocation and beamforming subproblem,semidefinite relaxation(SDR),successive convex approximation(SCA),and the Dinkelbach algorithm are employed.For the mode selection and discrete phase-shift subproblem,the SCA algorithm and the penalty function method are adopted.Simulation results demon-strate that,compared with baseline schemes,the proposed optimization scheme achieves superior performance.
