Abstract

Exploring the effects of short-term treatment of 1-MCP(1-methylcyclopropene)and transportation temperature on the shelf life quality of peach fruits at room temperature can provide scientific basis and techni-cal support for post harvest logistics preservation of peaches.The fruits of nectarine variety'Meiting'were used as the test material,and the foam box was used as the transport package.Under the two storage environments of normal temperature room[(20±1)℃,simulated normal temperature transport]and low temperature cold stor-age[(0±0.5)℃,simulated low temperature transport],both 1-MCP and CK were placed in the package.The gas composition in the box after simulated transport for 2 days and the fruit quality within the normal tempera-ture shelf life were measured.The results showed that both 1-MCP and low-temperature transport could effec-tively inhibit fruit respiration,with low-temperature transport significantly reducing ethylene release,while 1-MCP only had a significant inhibitory effect on ethylene release under normal temperature conditions.Both 1-MCP and low-temperature transport could effectively inhibit the decrease in IAD value of fruit peel and fruit hard-ness,but had no significant effect on soluble solids content.Among them,1-MCP could also significantly inhib-it the red to yellow transformation of fruit peel and completely prevent fruit rot within 6 days of shelf life,and could significantly inhibit the decrease in titratable acid content under normal temperature trans-portation.1-MCP and low-temperature transport all could improve sensory ratings such as fruit appear-ance and taste,but all could reduce arom a ratings.1-MCP short-term treatment and low-temperature transportation could effectively maintain the quality of peach fruits during shelf life and inhibit fruit decay.
